I really enjoyed listening to the sessions tracks today--- on Spotify. No way I'm forking out for the box set though.

Anyone else think there's a weird mid-bass hump in the Atmos mix? I'm willing to accept it could be my room, but I'm getting some unpleasant 'tubby' resonance most noticeably throughout "I'm Only Sleeping" and "Tomorrow Never Knows".

Mike Mettler's "Spatial Audio File" is back, after a hiatus--and it features an interview with Giles Martin. (Spoiler: he repeats his vague comment about how "we'll probably have to address" the lack of a Blu-Ray at some point--and teases the possibility that Atmos mixes for Sergeant Pepper--and the White Album!--might eventually make it to disc, as well.)

After listening to the High Res stereo version of the remixes I am more disappointed that a surround disc 'was not' included in the box set. The remix is amazing, better than I expected. The outtakes are also better/higher standard than the previous boxes especially Get Back & Abbey Road.

I love AR in Atmos and the one piece of music I really really wanted in Atmos was Revolver but not compressed garbage.

I gotta assume you haven't heard it? Although compressed streaming, it ain't garbage, that's for sure. But yes, it makes me want a TrueHD version even worse.

Obviously I'm very happy that "Revolver" was remixed (in stereo) cause it really needed a remix, and even just listening to the remix in stereo (Atmos later) I can hear the improvements and I'm satisfied with this remix, but still, the fact that they tossed the Blu-Ray out of this set (presumably to cut costs and push people towards the streaming services) is one of the biggest disgraces we have ever seen in our hobby.
If they do decide to release a single Blu-Ray edition, all will be forgiven, but until then, the anger still remains.

I just wanted to make one comment here; passion, not hobby!

I got a few minutes to take in a few tracks of the Atmos. After one listen, Elenore Rigby seems stunning. Got to Get You into My Life and Tomorrow Never Knows are quite good. I'm kind of impressed so far.

I’m sure most people would have settled for a 5.1 mix, along with a HiRes Stereo mix BD of Revolver included in the deluxe box set. In this way, they could’ve kept the Atmos version exclusively for the streaming services for a few years. I know, that would have changed my mind about making a purchase.

I believe just the two most recent generations? Apple (or dolby?) lists it on their site. In the summer of 2021 there was a thread going with all of the info. Generally, I search this site via google typing in whatever topic at the end here:

I use ethernet, not wireless - but there is a new non-ethernet cheap version now. I think most here search via their phone/tablet and then add to their library, rather than searching via the Apple TV box. My phone happens to be Atmos enabled, so it shows the Atmos logo and makes things easier.

Any "4K" Apple TV box. The 3rd generation 4K box has been announced and they are discounting the 2nd generation 4K box from last year (2021). Seems to be going for $99 for a new one, 2nd gen.
